new kid on the block : thomas angelo wheatley

This post was supposed be up before our little babe arrived in the world, but alas, not all things go as planned. Thomas Angelo Wheatley graced us with his presence 17 days early and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Despite his early arrival, Thomas entered the world in fine fashion, weighing in at 7lbs 11oz! We now have a 12 day old baby, he snuggles, he coos and he melts our hearts, even.. Read More

new years resolution : eat, drink & be married

New Years Eve has never been my thing. There’s so much hype and too much let down. This was not the case this NYE when Mitch and Chelsea rung in the new year with their family in friends after saying “I do”. When Mitch and Chelsea asked me to photograph their wedding I jumped at the chance, knowing that NYE would be much better celebrated as a wedding rather than just some old.. Read More

Sweet November

At long last here is an engagement shoot I did back in November, thankfully for us, it was much warmer than it was today. We had fun roaming through corn fields, woods, and country roads to get these images. We had even more fun laughing at mishaps, dirty dancing lifts, and hilarious falls. Paige and Greg, I cannot wait for your wedding next fall, enjoy! XO

big city love

Brad, Chantelle and I ventured out into the city streets of Toronto one Saturday in September. It was sunny and warm and the places to photograph were plentiful. We started just around the block from my house in graffiti alley, the vibrant colors added an amazing pop to the photos and offered an something interesting to the eye. We stopped for lunch and then headed east, first to the distillery and then, to.. Read More

the next generation

The next generation of the Bartram family is quickly populating. Last month the whole family was together with their new additions for the first time. We had perfect weather and the kiddos thoroughly cooperated with us, thanks goodness! Here are a few shots of the first three Bartram grandkids, Jenny, Max and Peyton along with their Omi and Papa.

Jenny is two

Jenny turned two this July, so we snapped a few photos of her in her new “big girl room”.  She’s such a ham and the camera loves her, it’s always a fun time photographing her. Happy Birthday Jenny and congratulations on becoming a big sister, you ROCK! xox

an exhibit of true love

Back in June Catherine from Documentographer asked me to assistant shoot for Anne and Luis’ wedding at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto . The AGO boats amazing light and even more amazing architecture, it’s easy to see why Anne and Luis chose this as the backdrop for their nuptials. Thanks to the encouragement and honest mentorship of Catherine, I have really hit my stride and have found new confidence in capturing.. Read More

on the rooftop

The rain held off today, and instead we were delivered beautiful overcast skies… perfect for shooting. I’ve been assistant shooting for Catherine Farquharson over at Documentographer, this weekend I met up with her on the rooftop of the groom’s building just in time for some bridal party portraits. I loved the sleek modern design and the cold slate gray color of the surroundings. Catherine started the day early and captured Jocelyn getting ready.. Read More

rainy elegance

It’s been an extremely busy summer but I am finally finding the time to show you all what I’ve been keeping busy with. This summer has been amazing in large part due to Catherine Farquharson over at Documentographer. Check her out, her work is stunning. Catherine and I met way back when during the bleak cold days of winter, we hit it off immediately, and luckily for me we did. Catherine welcomed me.. Read More
